Courses in this certificate program may be applied toward an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts and/or an Associate in Applied Science.
The Baking and Pastry A.S. degree also offers the following college credit or social science (3 credits), and/or the introductory courses within the A.S. degree.
If you have desire, discipline, and a passion for baking and pastry-making then this training program will be the place for you! Prepare, produce and present pastry, baked products and desserts using multiple, classical and contemporary techniques at a professional level. The College of Culinary Arts has designed a four-year curriculum that combines practical education in baking and pastry production with leadership training and general studies courses to prepare students for careers as executive pastry chefs. Fire Science Technology A. Students who want to continue their education should contact their university of choice for acceptance of this degree. Students entering this program with an Associate in Occupational Science Degree may be required to complete additional quarter credit hours of general education courses.
